Atom Mortgages is a whole of market mortgage and protection broker. We are small on purpose, so the person who takes your first call is the person who sees your case through.
The name is the promise. First-time buyers, home movers, landlords, the self-employed, people with a bruised credit file, people borrowing into retirement. We look at all of it.
What we will not do is talk you into a deal that does not work. Sometimes the right advice is to wait six months, clear a card, or stay exactly where you are. We would rather tell you that and keep you as a client for the next twenty years.
No call centres and no being passed around. One named adviser owns your case from the first call through to completion.

Steven leads ‘All Types of Mortgages’ and handles every case personally rather than passing it down a chain. Steven holds the CII Diploma alongside the Mortgage Advice Qualification, which covers the mortgage and the protection side, so the whole picture is dealt with in one place rather than being split between firms.
Steven is also the owner of SWR Wills, his private client practice, and is a member of the Society of Will Writers, covering wills, lasting power of attorney, trusts and estate planning. That combination is unusual in today’s world. What it means is that the mortgage which protects the roof over your head while you are living, and the correctly drafted will that decides what happens to it afterwards, are handled by the same person, who already understands your individual circumstances.
Steven’s office is in Hadleigh, Essex. He offers home visits free of charge across Essex and London, at a time that is convenient to you.
A bank can only sell you a bank's own products. A tied adviser works from a restricted panel. We are neither.
We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. That means our advice has to be suitable for you, documented, and challengeable if you disagree with it.
Our advice is given under the FCA regime, with a written recommendation explaining exactly why a product was chosen.
Steven holds the CII Diploma alongside the Mortgage Advice Qualification, covering both the mortgage and the protection side.
If we get something wrong, tell us. If we cannot resolve it, the Financial Ombudsman Service can look at it independently.
A short, friendly chat is all it takes to see what you could save. No jargon, no pressure, just clear advice.
